Whats the best route? Im thinking the 5 to the 101 all the way to Washington? Has anyone ever been on through? Any advice or alternate routes, good side trips or places to stay? Thanks

 

I'd take 5 all the way. Did it years ago on the way to Ft. Lewis.

I-5 to the 101 is the best way.

When ya get to Astoria, OR, stop in at the Triangle Tavern, located underneath the Astoria Bridge, on the 101. Get a glass of "Bill's Swill", it's a beer like no other.

 

If you want to be bored stiff, but have the fastest ride... I5.
Be preparred to take a beating every time you are in the slow lane.

Wanna see the sights and have a great ride and in no hurry I-5 to 101 to 1 (pch)

We've ridden 1-101 to above SF. Great ride, but don't be in a hurry, way too many things to see, smells to smell.

 

I'm not sure when you plan to leave but if it were in the summer and there weren't any time restraints I would stay on the coast all the way up.

You've GOT to take the Coast all the way, or your going to be missing one hell of a ride!
