RE: Any Portland Riders?
Hi everyone,
I just signed on to HDF and found this thread. I live in Boring, Oregon, retired and always interested in meeting up for a ride. I will watch this thread or PM me if there is plans for a ride. There are lots of areas to ride in my area. Up Hwy 14 in the Gorge and back down the Oregon side with a trip around Mt. Hood weather permitting is one of my favorites. The Clackamas River Hwy up Hwy 224 to Detroit, then turning east or west is alway an awesome ride. East takes you to Sisters then back around to Mt. Hood, then Portland is a breath taking ride. West turns you toward Salem. Again weather permitting since it can be blocked by snow.Till the snow melts I tend to ride the Willamette Valley roadsbetween Portland and Eugene. Scott

I work directly across the Columbia river from it. Count me in on rides, if I'm off, I'm in Woodland, WA. Great rides up the Lewis river towards Mt. St. Helens.......

My guess is the waterfall is Bridleviel or at least somewhere in the Columbia River Gorge. The canyon I believe is Lake Billy Chinook. A lot of familiar sites- Highway 26, Highway 35, Vista House, and Highway 101. Great pics y2k. Ready to ride if it ever stops raining.
Ride Safe.
