RE: Cycle World Int'l MC Show - Long Beach 12/7-12/9
Okay, here's my take on the show.
It's boring. I walked through it in less than an hour. I'm not really into other brands of bikes so all the mfgrs displays didn't cut it. I walked through the independent vendors that was cool, but I didn't buy anything but some glove liners.
And now the really BIG disappointment of the day: The Harley demo rides. I walked throught the demo area, all the brands were there and very busy. Then I walked to a very quiet Harley demo and was greated by a"closed" sign. That's right, closed. They explained that they ran out of "slots", meaning at 11:00 am they were booked solid on all bikes for the whole day. They told me that they opened at 9:00 am and there was a very long line for registration. Thattranslates to"you get there at 8:30, sign in and then wait for your turn". That could take a couple of hours. Maybe there's a chance that it might not be so crowded tomorrow.
So after seeing the show, I have decided I'm not going back on Sunday. Sorry to all of you. If the weather's warm enough, I'll ride somewhere else a little later.
Anubisss mentioned he's still planning on going tomorrow, weather permitting.I hope you all have a great time.
Sorry again everyone. It's not worth going twice.

Well, weather dictates whether I go or not. I am not too excited about getting wet but I do have a coupon for a free cup of coffee at Cisco Burger. West Coast Choppers is having a blow out sale with shirts for $5 and $10 and I stopped there on the way to the show. Weather will tell me what is happening. If I don't head down there I will ride in the afternoon with Dinger.
