Why doesn't Harman Cardon Radio play all mp3 on cd?
#11
Finally found a post that has the solution! It's the album artwork that seems to **** off the radio.
Here's how to do it in itunes:
The songs have to be in MP3 format.
Create a new playlist called "Burn" or whatever you want.
Drag music to the playlist. Put however many songs you want, or up to 700MB.
Click on the playlist, right click the first song and pick "Get Info".
Click the Artwork tab.
Click the picture, then click delete.
Click Next and do it again.
Unfortunately you have to do it for each song and if you want the arrtwork in itunes you have to go back and add it in, but I just burned a CD with 75 songs and it looks like they will all play.
This was making me nuts. Hopefully it will help somebody else!

Harmon Kardon MP3 play error
hey all ... I think I discovered the problem with the Harmon Kardon Harley Radios. The radios are quite particular to the MP3 tags ... I used a program called Geo Tag Editor (www.goldleo.com/tag) ... great program for FREE (unless you want to edit tags) However the FREE version will allow you to remove tags ... and that my friend is what you must do.
All one needs to do is select the songs and remove the ID3v2.x tags, lyrics and album art. Leave the ID3v1.1 tags in place to provide information on the radio what artist & track is currently playing ...
I suffered from the pain of the same problems for a couple of months that were posted here that the MP3 tracks would not play. The burn speed I have set through windows media player is FAST, not FASTEST ...
Hope this helps ...

Removing the tags worked great! I tried several tools for this, and http://www.mp3tag.de was by far the best. It was able to easily remove all the tags.
