foamy oil
ok I know -- evo question -- but I need people who know --
I got this 1984 fxrs running -- when I look in the tank is see FOAM -- the lifters pumped up but when I take the return line off (not running) I see foam - I really don't see oil being pumped back into the tank but it sure is foamy -- it has the S&S 2 to 1 oil pump gears -- the S&S steel breather with the screen removed and the hoptop in it - the pump is a S&S pump -
when I took it apart I didn't find that plastic oil separator in the steel cam cover tube -
oil comes out the return when I disconnect and hook up a hose -- nothing but air from the breather vent no oil --
oil is the dino version of valvoline

Well obviously the oil pump is pumping air into the oil cavity. This would be an oil line loose or the pick up is not positioned correctly causing it to suck air.
Are you certain the oil pump is in like it should be?
