Default oil leak

I have a 95 xlh1200 sportster its a evolution motor. is this motor prone to oil leaks?

That's not an easy question to answer! Later years are likely to be more oil-tight. Why do you ask?

just a really small spot. you have to remember this bike is a 95 it has 3525mi. on it and it has set in a garage for 18 years or so. ill keep an eye on it and let you know. thanks for the reply.

Sounds like your bike can claim special circumstances, if it does leak! Keep an eye on what develops, if anything. Late 80s to early 90s bikes had a few minor problems with gaskets and oil seals, although yours should be just safe from that era IIRC. If you do suffer leaks, whatever you put right, including gaskets and seals, will sort it out, as later spec parts are much improved.
