Default Oil pressure pegging 60

I had a problem at idile no oil pressure, Changed the oil and filter and sensor, Then oil pressures pegging 60psi at about 2800 rpms cold or warm or hot. Changed the oil filter again. Now it maxes out at about 45psi to 50psi. But on the other end now I'm at idle I'm running about 10psi at operating temps and about 15psi to 20psi when cold. Should i be worried about this or am i just looking to deep into it?

Default RE: Oil pressure pegging 60

Harleys never have much oil pressure anyways. Oil pressure failure on a Harley is mostly unheard of and is so rare.

When you first start the bike up...the oil pressure should be fairly high or even maxed out. This is ok...you have oil pressure.

At ide, as long as you have about 5psi....you are ok. Like I said, Harleys don't have much oil pressure. If you have no oil pressure at all....then you do have a problem either in the oil sytem or the electronis system.

Please list what bike you have with year and any modifications that have been made to it.
