Why can't we use aviation air cooled piston engine specd oil in air cooled motorcycle engines?

There is no advantage using aircraft engine oil in a motorcycle. Just because it is used in airplanes does not mean it is better. Any 20w50 auto oil will give the engine all it needs in protection.
I`ve been an aircraft mech since `74, and have never considered using aviation oil in any of my motorcycles.

I can't swear to it, but the reason I've heard not to use airplane oil in your Harley, is the additive package is different. Higher amounts of a given additive that might cause motor issues. Being they operate in different environments and actual conditions, I wouldn't risk it plus there are plenty of choices besides aviation oil around.,,

Your factory owners manual tells you to use diesel engine oil if Harley oil isn't available. There are more than enough oils available from ordinary outlets and I can see no benefit in looking further afield!
Why do you ask?

Turbine engine oil is completely unsuitable for use in any reciprocating engine. It would probably work in a turbocharger if the unit had its own oil system...
Nothing special about it, just made for a different use.
