My local NAPA has this on sale for $5.99. I have used this in the past but not the extended performance. Here is my question, I am planning a 7000 mile trip and would like to use an oil that will do the whole trip. I know Amzoil says their oil will last double the manufacturers recommendation and Mobil 1 told me in an email that their 20W-50 would go 6-7000 miles if they were all highway miles. I use Mobil 1 Extended Performance in my vehicles and it will go 10,000 miles pretty easily. Trying to decide if I should stock up? I know it is only about $15 to $20 difference per oil change and that won't make or break me but hey, that's a tank of gas.

 

I have always been in the mindset that it's not the oil but the oil filter that is the weakest link in the lubrication and cooling process in air cooled motors/engines.
