im New to HD scene and wanted to get some input in regards to doing my first oil change on sportster 883 iron. just picked this bike up and Ive been a long time rider of crotch rockets but i don't know much about vtwins and HD's

the bike has about 5000 mls on it now and i was wondering do i switch to full synthatic, semi or just reg oil

what grade oil should i buy? and also what brand, M1 seems popular based on poll, i don't think i can get amsoil here in Toronto. i had used motul on my sports bikes and was very happy with it.

also how much oil i need ot add to engine for 2009 883 iron??

another thing, what tire pressure should i run on the F/21" and R/16" tires?? im about 205lbs

All the info you need is in the operators manual. Switching to full synthetic wouldn't be any problem. You should consider purchasing the HD service manual, You can save a lot of money working on your own bike

Seriously, you should get a owners manual, it has all the answers your asking. Synthetics are great, but many people run regular oil with no problems. I believe all Harley's take 20w50 but if you live in the south or west where you can see 90+ degs for long summers maybe a 60 weight would be good. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/sport...-pressure.html Just saw your in Toranto so stick with 20W50.
