CRANK CASE FULL OF OIL NOT RETURNING TO OIL PAN
Hello everyone! I got a problem....I've done MANY engines like this! I have a 05 roadking 13k miles that I installed 585g cams, ported and polished the heads, heavier springs, had to grind the timing cover for gear clearence ( off the bike) had to grind the inside the timing case ( 12 o'clock on top of the pinion bearing in 2 places for cam lobe clearence on the bike/was VERY carefull not to get any shavings in the motor during this process) and put dohrty breathers in top end and 10.5 to 1 Keith Black big bore pistons. The bike ran GREAT for 50 miles.......then it started blowing oil out the air cleaner, and running bad. I discovered the engine was filling the crankcase full of oil, not returning oil to oil pan & oil fouling the plugs. I pulled engine back down and checked oil pump alignment (it was ok) however I foundsmall scours on the pump housing & cam plate which serves as the back of the scavage side of the oil pump, so I replaced oil pump & cam support plate..At that time I confirmed I had no passageway restrictions as best as I could (blowing threw passages) , couldnt find any problems. I removed crank sensor and poured 4 ounces trans fluid into passage and it came out the case plug in the engine with in 5 minutes ANd I got 3 ounces back out (a normal time ) ...I heard that may help me discover if I had a restriction in the return galley of the bottom of the engine case....After doing all this I put engine back together and the SAME problem re-occured.....BIke began burning oil on both cylinders & and AGIAN filled crankcase full of oil not returning to oil pan. The only thing I can think is the pump isnt scavaging oil ( returning) !!!!!! I agian must tear in to engine monday morning!!!! ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!! THanks for everyones time!

RE: CRANK CASE FULL OF OIL NOT RETURNING TO OIL PAN
Found the problem.........tore the engine down and found a defective keith black piston --it had a casting problem and a chunk broke loose and lodged in the oil return galley from the crankcase side to the oil pump scavage side.
