Default My FXSTC is making oil!

My 1994 FXSTC has about 30,000 miles. I recently took it to a mechanic to do a compression check. I changed the oil and filter myself. Now the oil tank over fills when I run the engine!
Any suggestions please?

You're not making oil, you are pressurizing your oil passages which is causing the oil overflow. You might want to check your oil filter to insure you have the correct one if that is the only thing different since this problem began.

Pressurizing oil passages? No...

Make sure the oil tank is not overfilled (the tank may have been topped off while there was oil down in the crankcase, now it has been scavenged back to the tank and it is overfilled).

Id avoid a 5 or 10 micron Twincam filter as well. EVO's push oil thru the filter unlike the TCam that sucks thru the filter. The Twincam filter is to restrictive and causes problems as the oil cannot be removed from the bottom end fast enough. EVO's use a 30 micron to work properly.

Some misinformation here...the twin cam oil filter is in the supply circuit of the oil system, oil is pushed through the filter before it reaches the engine.

No oil system sucks oil through the filter.

An incorrect oil filter on an Evo can cause the oil to blow out the breather due to improper scavenging.

The problem here is not the oil filter, it could be an over filled oil system, if not, check the oil level in the primary and see if it is low.
