Default Scavenger oil change system

I bought and used the scavenger today and I was pretty impressed. Got an extra 27oz of OLD motor oil out that normally would remain in the engine and immediately contaminate the brand new motor oil .. Check jt out on line. Anyone else have one ??

I dont have one but I do almost the same. I drain the oil, unplug the return line, run engine about 10sec. Install new filter run it until oil is clear. Reinstall oil line. Does the same thing.

I don't use one and don't plan getting one. Do you really mean you got out a over a quart of oil? After I drain my bikes there is nothing like that left in them.

I have yet to change oil on mine since I recently got it and saw the oil being chanced before I took delivery. So I haven't even looked at where the drain plug is on my 07 EG. But isn't the engine and drain plug designed to have the oil drained while on the jiffy stand? And if so how in the world could a quart of oil be suspended somewhere in the engine? The video for the scavenger system shows the bike upright so I could then see some oil getting left that way but still find it hard to believe a quart. So my question now is do I really have to worry about oil not draining completely out or is this just more commercial hype? I am trying to learn all I can before I dive in on my first oil change.

The oil that is left is in the base and the oil lines. Dont forget harley's are dry sump. When you drain the oil , it from the tank and not fron the engine. So there will always be a little oil left in there.
