Uh.... I think I understand...Uh...and Uh.....I don't think your "stupin"
I'm figger'in typing ain't your thing. But I have found that my stellar typing skills do very little for me while I'm riding.

Anyway to much more important things....lubricants.
If your gonna use AMSOIL:
MCV 20w-50 High Performance Motorcycle oil.
You can use this in all three holes. However, if you are like many, you want gear lube in your tranny. If thats the case, use either of the following.

FGR synthetic long life gear lube 75w-90
or
SVG Severe Gear 75w-90

More questions? PM me.

I used to use to useAmsoil 20-50 in engine,10-40in primaryand 75-90 gear in tranny. Now I use the MCV 20-50 in everything. I think the tranny shifts easier and quieter with the 20-50. My bike definately runs cooler. Had an 04 Road Glide with 30K that went in for cam chain tensioner replacement (nothing to do with Amsoil use, but poor HD technology) Service tech said it was one of the cleanest engines he had ever seen.Amsoil is great.

Steve if you read this what is the Amsoil filter number for a 06 Buell Ullysses?

buell man too,

Keeping an engine super clean is one of the great benefits of using a super premium synthetic oil, not to mention the cooler running engine. Those two benefits alone make using AMSOIL worth every penny paid for it.

I know this is the same info you got in the PM, however, maybe good info for others as well.

Unfortunately, AMSOIL has not yet produced an EA filter for the Ulysses or any of the Buell line as of this time.
WIX filters are available through AMSOIL and the number for the Buell's take a WIX 51056 or the same number as a NAPA GOLD filter. You can use the MCV 20-w50 for the extended drain interval, however, the filter will need to be changed at the OEM interval and the oil topped off.

I got in on this one late so forgive me. Thanks for the simplified version of the lingo. I have a source locally for Amsoil (cheaper then Syn 3) and will switch on my next change. I ride an '07 Softtailand you didn't give oil filters for those. Are they the same, or do I need new numbers?

The 07's come out with what I think is called a "Difinitive oil Filter"which consists of a cartridge type filter in the oil filter housing. However, if you choose touse a spin on filter, it is the same size as used on the TC88 motors. EAOM134for Black and EAOM134C for Chrome.

...WIX 51056 or the same number as a NAPA GOLD filter.
NAPA numbers are the last four digits of the Wix number. I.e., Wix 51056 is NAPA 1056.
