Default Off the shelf (M-1) or mail order (Amsoil)

I am torn between Mobile 1 off the shelf at autozone or Amsoil by mailorder. I know there both good oils but is it worth the shipping to get the "best" stuff. What do you guys think??? Theres at least $30 savings going with off the shelf.

Thanks

Neither for me. I use cheap dino. My bike's only got 64k on her and still runs like a top. However, if I had to choose, I'd get a synth that I can get locally or on the road if I need some. Personally, I don't buy into all the scAmsoil propaganda.

Both are very close.......you won't even know the difference.......try the M-1 and send me the $30. I'll buy really good beer and let you know how it is while you pretend you have Amsoil in your bike...

Who says that Amsoil is better then Mobile1 V Twin? Do a search here on the forum and you will find that Mobile is highly recommended by lots of members.

Yeah, just look at the poll on the top of the oil section....more people are using Syn3 than Amsoil. Mobil1 is by far in first place.

I orderd a case of crankcase Amsoil and a case of the SevereGear... and I kid you not I got it in two days. They are very fast for shipping, and its pretty inexpensive... less than I would have paid for sales tax, and about 4 bucks cheaper a quart here locally. Either M-1 or Amsoil... I don't think you can go wrong with either one, their both really good. I think with the quality of both, your splitting hairs as to which one is better.

Ask 3 people which oil is best...get 3 different answers...Most synthetics are about the same quality. I use Mobil 1 over anything else for one reason...its availibilty...Most Walmarts and Autozones carry it, soif I need oil, I can usually get it without a problem...Just my opinion

I learned sometime ago that any oil question asked on an HD forum will bring out three types of replies; at least one of them will be from an Amsoil distributer, not that there is anything wrong with that or the product, it is just that they should identify themselves as should all the other oil distributors.
