I think checking all the bolts is a good idea.
Based on experience,I would not depend on a dealer tech to do this.

I enjoy working on my own bike and do all work my self , get a service manual read over the section you need , make sure you have all the tools and go for it.

Having someone else wrench on your bike, when you are capable, is like having some strange dude rub lotion on your gal. Should be avoided, as both could be violated.

How tight do you put the oil filter on. What is the correct method.

Hand tight ....then 1/4 turn more. Make sure you remove old gasket. They tend to hang on the oil filter assembly. Also wipe some oil on the new gasket before installation. Most gaskets are pre-lubed.
