Default Fueling Tappets

I have a TC88 in a 05 FXDL. I have been advised to upgrade my oil pump since I am going to upgrade my engine. 88 to 95 with Mackie Heads.

If upgrading to a Fueling oil pump, is it really necessary to upgrade to Fueling tappets?

Your thoughts?

The feuling HP+ lifters are made to work with the Feuling oil pump. I would spend the extra $98.00 and get them. JMO I used those lifters when i installed S&S gear drive cams last week. They reduced alot of the noise i had in my motor.

I agree that $98 may not seem like much, but every time someone has a suggestion, its more and more unanticipated money going into the build. A little here and a little there can add up and put you over budget by thousands in a hurry.

The question is: At the risk of going overbudget and having the wife pull ALL funding ............. Are these tappets 100% necessary?

I also heard that if you purchase Feuling parts from anyone other than an authorized distributor, Feuling will NOT honor the warranty. Feuling does not list very many distributors, but there are quite a few people selling these on line. Any one heard of this?

The stock TC tappets are very strong- unlike the Evo. No need to replace them unless you are going to be doing a LOT of racing at very high rpm.
