Default First service and oil/transmission question

I have the owners and service manual for my 2011 48...I refuse to give the dealer $250+ for an oil/transmission change and other small things that take no time to do.

The oil change looks pretty simple my question is...

After I change the oil do I have to change the Primary Chaincase Lubricant and the transmission lubricant? The service manual has two different sections for this...

Thanks

If the manual says to change it at the 1k service, I would do it then. Then follow thru with the changes per the manual. I believe it's every 5k unless they change it on the newer bikes.,,

Default First Service

If you do the first service at 1000 miles on your own does that void the original two year warranty? Just curious, seems that I heard that somewhere!?

Not if you log in your owners manual that you did everything and save all receipts to show that you bought genuine HD oil/filter
