Default Good news for Mobil 1 15w50 users

There may be good news on the horizon for those of you using Mobil 1 15w50. I know the plant manager of the local Exxon-Mobil packaging plant here and emailed him about the future availability of this oil at Walmart, which has been providing it at very attractive prices until recently when they pulled it from inventory. He sent me an email today saying that Walmart was "planning to re-launch" this product in July or early August in both the 5-qt. and 1-qt. sizes. I guess customer reaction has been sufficient to make them rethink pulling it from their shelves. "Planning to" doesn't sound like it's etched in stone, but I think this still may be good news for many of you.

Have the 5 qt bottles started to show up in any areas yet? I've been looking at the Walmarts in my area and its still not being stocked.

I want to know why the 20-50wt has to cost $3.00 more a Qt then the 15-50wt.

Heck, around here M1 20w-50 goes $5-6 more then M1 15w-50. Had one dealer sitting on 20w-50 @ $13 a quart. Guess they were pushing the Syn 3.

Checked Wal-Mart again today, still NO 15w50 -even in quarts.
I couldn't find anyone to answer if they were going to get it again.

I saw my Exxon-Mobil contact the other day and he said "It's coming." He is someone within EM who would know, but doesn't work for Walmart or know their schedule.
