Just this weekend saw 5 quart jugs of 15w 50 at the Walmart in Shalotte NC (just north of Myrtle Beach SC) for $24.65. Said everyday low price and had plenty.
Can y'all explain something to me. All my HD's since my 87 have called for 20-50. Everybody is talking about using 15-50 Mobil 1. I understand the benefits of the synthetic but my question is the weight. Is the 15-50 ok for my minimally modified (Exh and AC only) 2006 FLH for every day use or is the 15-50 limited to certain bikes/mods/conditions?

It's perfectly fine, and three MC mags have included it in oil tests where it performed very well. Don't believe myths about motorcycles requiring "motorcycle oil." I would not let the top viscosity number go below 50, however, except in very cold weather as described in the manual.
