Hey guys, I am sure this has been discussed before but I was just wondering if there is any brass or copper parts inside a harley 5spd. Just curious because some people say GL5 will eat away at yellow metals over time. Thanks.

 

I know the 6 speed doesn't not sure about the 5.

 

This comes up on every thread a few times a year the minion trolls of one syn oil company likes to get this one going.
GL 5 will not hurt your 5 or 6 speed HD and in fact will do wonders for you six speed been running a lot of miles not just a few 1000.
Just trade off the 07 with 60K on it and never had any thing but GL5 in gear box and new owner is using the same thing
