Changing to synthetic motor oil

Changing to synthetic motor oil
I'm planning on going to synthetic Mobile 1 20/50 in my 2009 RK for my next oil change...What would be necessary as far as getting the original H-D oil out of the engine prior to changing to synthetic?

Just be sure to idle the motor after the oil warm up ride for 2 minutes to get as much oil out of the sump as possible. I believe the HD manual states that also.

And whatever you do, DON'T put in Mobil-1... me and 5.36% of the other HDF members agree that you should ONLY put in Red Line oil.

Just try it. If you dontlike it change brands next oil change. I use mobil1 and love it. I tried Amsoil and it made too much noise. Others say just the opposite. There is no right answer. Some engines love dyno oil. Mobil 1 is the least expensive and easyest to find for me. Only 35 bucks for a case of 6. Frekkin Amsoil and redline are like 12+ a quart here. Way too much info on oil here. I don't think any of them will hurt your engine its just personal preference. Goodluck.

Oil change
Search www.roguechopper.com about the SCAVENGER total oil change to flush all the old from the system. I know it be not a have to do procedure when changing from/to or just a regular change. But, why leave about a quart of dirty oil in your beloved DAVIDSON at each change? Ok boys and girls, flame on!
