I'm on an '05 FLHTI, I have been using the Mobile1 Gear Oil in the Tranny... the 75W-90 is about the same weight as 15W-50, regular Mobile 1 for cars for the motor oil...

While the M1V Twin is in my opinion the best, I use it also, but would strongly advise against it in the trans. You need gear oil in the trans. I found that redline shockproof heavy (amongst others) works very well and you get no "fuzz" on the drain plug magnet at service time, which says a lot to me as far as wear.

'89 & earlier - 1.5 quarts
'90 - 30 -36 oz.
I ignore that stuff, put bike on side stand, & fill 'til the juice just touches the bottom of the clutch basket.
But then I use Ford ATF
