I looked in manual and found out that I need 60 oil. Where to buy it beside dealer? Advance auto doesn't have it.

Redline, Amsoil dealers.

20/60wt is better than straight 60wt.

I'm an independent Amsoil dealer...you can PM me with any questions, or use the link:

The product you are looking for is:
Super Heavy Weight SAE 60 Racing Oil (AHR)

Hope this helps.

Is there non syntethic 60 oil?
$11 quart + shipping is too much.
I wonder if I use "stop smoke" additive with 20W50 oil how much will viscosity be increased?
Amsoil almost killed my car engine so I don't really want to buy it.

Valvoline VR-1 racing comes in a 60wt and has a good additive package. I have seen it in some of the auto part stores. I have run it in the past and may go back to it when it gets hot this summer. 105* is common here

It was about 12 years ago. Amsoil advertised good for 25K miles oil and stupid me I decided that if they said 25K (obvious BS), I could use it for 12K. Well, after about 9K compression dropped in my Volkswagen engine and I could barely drive it after flushing engine and adding compression increase additive.

Oh, it still should have gone 12k. But I never go past 5k on a change.

I just called Lucas people. Their representative,I think his name was John, said that if I have 4 quarts of oil in my engine and I use 1 pint of Lucas additive viscosity will increase from 50 to 60.
Than means 3.5 quarts of oil+ half quart of Lucas oil stabilizer.
Their tel is 1-800-342-2512
Please call them to verify. I think it is important news for Harley community. We can use cheaper oil from local Auto parts store.
