Im getting ready to do 1K service on a street glide what oil should I use and what trans oil should I use

Amsoil 20W50 in the Engine .. Amsoil 10W40 in the Primary .. Spectro 6 75W140 in the Tranny..

 

Moble 15w 50 syn in motor, Redline Super shock gear in tranny and ATF in primary
K&n 171c oil filter.

 

If you have a warranty that your concerned with, I wouldn't use gear oil or auto trans fluid as they are not factory recommended lubes.,,

 

Primary + or Valvoline 20/50 motorcycle oil will work just fine.

Any of the MC synthetic 20w50 in engine & Primary and 75w90 or 75w140 gear oil in the trans. You can also use a 10w40 in the primary.

The oils I would recommend are:

Mobil1 Vtwin
Amsoil
Spectro
HD Syn3

After 3000 miles Redline.

 

My dealer sells BelRay 85w140 gear saver...no warranty problems. They have been using it for decades.

 

After doing months of research I came up with my own esoteric oil combination. I'm thinking about patenting it, because as far as I know it's so unheard of that I am the only one that uses it. Follow along closely, because it can get pretty confusing. What I do is I put Formula+ in the primary and tranny and HD360 20W50 in the crank. It's an odd thing to do, I know, but so far it's working pretty well.

I would also add:
Primary- Formula+ or Rotella 15W-40 HDEO
Tranny- Redline Shockproof Heavy
