HD Oil Cooler -test to see if it is working
I have just put on the HD Oil Cooler (2010 Road King). I would like to know the best way to test to see if it is working. I can't really ride the bike to warm it up because it is 5 degrees outside. If I could run it, what should I look for? I am concerned about having the gasket and filter on correctly.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Get rid of it. you can test it very easily as a paperweight! oil coolers are really not necesary. certainly not if you live in an area where it is 5 degrees this time of year. what is the high temp in the summer. 95 maybe 100 for a week. I lived in phoenix AZ and didnt even need an oil cooler. (30 days straight of 110 or more last summer )I have seen many leaks and low oil pressure problems due to oil coolers. If you are endurance racing in the desert, sure put an oil cooler on!!!
