no oil to top end ??????
2009 FL, new cams, adj. pushrods, new lifters, new roller rockers, no top end oil.
I have checked and cleared all passages in support plate, no obstructions to filter, oil is making it to the lifters but not up to top end. how long should it take to get oil to the top end, oil pressure seems low 5 to 10 at idle. all o-rings are new and in proper position, pump alignment procedure was followed correctly. new lifter O.D. and lifter bore I.D. are in spec.is it really possible that all four new lifters are junk? There must be something I am missing !!!!!!!! I appreciate any help !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks !!!!!

You letting the engine get up to Operating Temp? an 2000 RPM
Check operating oil pressure as follows:
1. Fill oil tank to proper level.
2. Remove oil pressure switch from crankcase.
3. Install adapter in oil pressure switch
mounting hole.Tighten adapter until snug.
4. Assemble banjo bolt, washer, oil pressure gauge
banjo fitting and second washer onto adapter and
tighten until snug.
5. Start engine and allow to reach operating temperature.
NOTE
Engine oil should be at normal operating temperature
(230 ° F/11O° C) for an accurate reading.
6. Oil pressure should be 30-38 PSI (207-262 kPa) at 2000
RPM and normal operating temperature.
7. Stop engine. Remove oil pressure gauge assembly from
oil pressure switch mounting hole in crankcase.
8. Reinstall oil pressure switch.

yep, I even shimmed it a little thinking that maybe it was opening to soon.. its not. my newest discoverie is that the crank case is filling with oil, the pump is not scavenging, took the pump apart everything is in spec and looks good. ??????????????? confused !!!!!!

Since you have oil to the lifters and they are pumped up and not clacking. Check your push rods to make sure oil can flow through them, next check the rockers to be sure the oil holes were drilled. Too little preload on the lifters will keep them from pumping oil up the pushrod also.

pump is assembled correctly. Todays newest find, crankcase pressure will assist with the scavenging of the pump, so I took off air filter and backing plate, plugged the crankcase breather holes and oil pressure built and stayed. took finger of the holes, and pressure droped instantly.
I am stumped !!!!

If you plug the crankcase breather holes then the crankcase pressure will add to the mearured oil pressure. This will give you a false reading.
