Not trying to be a smartass, but the sticky above has 44 pages of response to the question, "what oil do you use in your bike?" There's a ton of info on that thread and other threads about pros and cons of various oils. Try the search function and you can read all day.

I'll use search function next time before asking questions. I'm sorry for being new here.

I used H-D dino for many years, the weight specified for the motor and recently put in H-D Synthetic 3, Screaming Eagle. Seems to work OK.

Welcome to the site...If you change your oil every 2500 miles don't waste your money on Syn....iF YOU GO 5000-7000 then syn might be better...depends how hard you ride too...I went with syn in the crank and primary and inthe tranny but at 20k miles i changed the tranny to severe gear??? can't say i felt any difference..i will use a 75w140 next time and regular primary fluid. Mobile 1 15w50 car oil at walmart for $22 a 5qt container is a pretty good deal. You will get a lot of opinion...read throught the search response and make your own mind up...it's really not that complicated...Like i told somebody else...look at your owners manual.
