Default A little confused

First service is coming up quick. This is the first new bike I have ever bought. Reading the owners manual it says that the first or initial service must be performed to keep the new motorcycle warranty in place? It doesn't specify who does it. Can I do it myself and keep the warranty in force? This is from the owners manual. Very vague. Is it saying that the dealer must do it or just that it must be done? Thanks in advance H-2

Well it must be done. My dealer does it for free so people will have it done. You can do it yourself but you should get a factory service manual and keep a service log and receipts for all fluids & parts as well as date/mileage so if there is any warranty issue you have written proof to back up your work.
