Oil leak -- oil cooler

Oil leak -- oil cooler
Hi all,
I just got back from a 2000 mile trip and have a severe oil leak on a 2005 Ultra. Oil had been blowing back all over the bottom of the motorcycle and it was a mess when we got home from the trip. I ran out of oil on the trip and put a couple quarts in to get us home. It looks like most of the dripping is coming off the front end around the oil cooler. I thought maybe the filter was loose so I put a new one one and made sure it was tight, then noticed the hoses from the filter to the cooler looked like they slipped a bit. I did reinsert them and made sure they were on and tightened the clamps. Took her for a ride and still have the leak, but not as bad. I am going to take off the oil cooler and see if that solves the problem. If not I will have to take it in for a look.
A couple questions...Has this happened to you with your oil cooler? Did you remove and fix the problem? Also, if this does not fix the problem by removing the oil coller, is there a way to pressure test the engine to find the leak?
Thanks in advance
