First oil change on a heratage classic
I have a new Heretage classic going to be picking it up next week. I've decided to use amsoil 20w50 motorcycle oil fot the engine HD Formula + for the primary and Amsoil 75/90 gear lube for tyhe tranny. Can I do this the First time I change the fluids or do I need to waite a while before switching to a synthedic

change away...the amsoil is a group IV synthetic and will NOT hurt anything. If fact it will improve the performance slightly. But some guys extend the service break-in period a couple of hundred miles with synthetics.

Don't bother with Formula + in the primary. If you run synthetic 20W-50 in the crankcase, use the same thing in the primary. Last fluid change, I put Formula+ in the primary and didn't notice any improvement over the 20W-50 synthetic I had been running. I'm switching back this fluid change.
