$92 for Oil + Chrome Filter?!?!

After changing my engine oil yesterday morning, I can say that I wouldn't exceed 5k miles, even with Amsoil. While the tranny oil was nice and brown after 5k, the engine oil was a dark grey.
I may leave the tranny go 7500 miles before the next change, but the engine oil and filter will be changed at no more than 5k miles.

Do a search and U'll find that's from water or Moisture.
Usually not getting the motor hot enough to evaporate it on a motorcycle..
most oils will usually and should come out of the motor a dark brown..which shows it doing its job.

I'm down in Southern Ontario across from Detroit. Amsoil here is about $14.00 a ltr. HD syn is about $12.00. Went to Detroit and with exchange, even though low right now, not a lot of difference! Some guys swear by syn, others stick with Dino oil. Dino has been used forever and works. Mechs say you can see the difference in a torn down engine between syn and Dino oil!
But, with the oil prices going ballistic and buying more solid Gold toilets for fat Arabs, what can you do but pay!
We all know, there is power in numbers. Get together with a few buds, buy direct in volume and bring the price down! You buy a lot, they will negotiate.
