WHAT OIL FOR VERY HOT CLIMATES????

Default WHAT OIL FOR VERY HOT CLIMATES????

I HAVE A 103" STROKER ENGINE ON AN 05 DELUXE... I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHAT OILS ARE BEING USED BY OTHERS WITH THIS SET UP. RIGHT NOW, I AM USING A STRAIGHT 50W REGULAR OIL. TEMPERATURES HERE ARE IN THE 90's.

Redline makes a synthetic 20w60 and straight 60w for that or Mobil1Vtwin 20w50 synthetic should do. See the redline at www.redlineoil.com or mobil1 at autozone. Both are about $8.00 qt.

2d the Redline.... You can get it cheaper from www.myoilshop.com ($6.30 or so per qt).

As stated above, Go with the 20w-60... It was originally designed for the V-Twin motors....

If you do go straight weight, stick with the 50... 60 will be a bit much on the stock pump...
