Oil/Trans fliuds

Oil/Trans fliuds
I have tried Amsoil 20w50 in all three holes. I really like Amsoil 20w50. I did have some problems with the transmission shifting hard and noise using the Amsoil 20w50, especially after running in hot climates. I am thinking about switching to Amsoil Servere Gear 75w110 for the transmission. Any thoughts you have will be greatly appreciated.

I started using 20w50 only in the engine, 75w140 in the trans, and ATF in the primary. My '08 UC seems to like that combination a lot better.

Just as an idea, I use Mobil 1 syn atf in the primary and Mobil 1 75w-140 in trans. Trans is quieter and neutral is easier to find. Clutch does not slip anywhere near as much as it did with the Syn3 I tried for 1000 miles. Actually took a little getting used to, the change was that much. In cold or extremely hot weather I don't see much of a change. Amsoil should have similar products.

Running with the trike setup must put some strain on the trans. I would do a full adjustment of the clutch and change the trans oil to a heavier grade. as far as brand goes it doesn't matter to the trans as long as it does the job.A gl5 rated oil either dino or synthetic. Use the most expensive or the cheapest you can find, and I'll bet you cant tell the difference.,,

re: Oil/Trans fliuds
Thanks guys. I plan on running Amsoil 20w50 in the engine and Amsoil Severe Gear 75w110 in the transmission. I'll post when I come up with the results.
