That UOA is from a 1994 Evo carbed engine which definitely runs cooler than the TC88 or 96 EFI bikes. No doubt if you have an evo then dino autmotive oil like the old version of Havoline is fine. The big selling point to me for synthetic oils is that they withstand a higher heat range than the evo engines produce. Anybody with a new TC96 who has owned an evo will tell you the engine generates way more heat. Some guys have reported heat ranges in the 300*F range which is over the maximum range a mineral based oil should be run IMO. That's all.

Theres another one that will be up later today on a 2003 TC88 using Valvoline VR1 and Valvoline synpower mix, look at that one. Not saying that dino is better than syn in the heat part but just interesting to see an automotive oil do so well in HDs. Just info here not to start an argument or anything.
