Warrantee Issue?

Possibly...as any non HD parts can void your warranty. Lets say the cooler springs a major leak while on the highway and you seize your engine from loss of all oil. I doubt the dealer will fix it under warranty. If they installed a defective HD cooler then they are on the hook for it. JMO

To be realistic about an oil cooler voiding a warranty you gotta have two things - a leak that dumps the oil and then the lack of oil causes the engine failure, and a rider with his head stuck so far up where the sun don't shine that he doesn't hear the lifters start making noises, and shuts the bike down.

Read this and think for yourself.

"Warrantors cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty.[1] This is commonly referred to as the "tie-in sales" provisions[2], and is frequently mentioned in the context of third-party computer parts, such as memory and hard drives."

If I were installing a cooler on a bike under warranty I would go with the HD brand and have my dealer do the install. Understand this: The dealer and MoCo don't have to prove ANYTHING. All they have to do is say: "Warranty Denied". Then you have to convince or legally compell them to make good on it. This can be very time consuming and costly. Me> I would have my dealer do the install. But that is just me.

LOL, I agree, but you practically need a lawyer to get your stock bike fixed under warranty. I'm glad mine just expired.

Yeah, the MoCo has us all trained like monkeys to pray for the expiration of our warranty so we can mod our bikes.... How did that happen?
