Default Jagg oil cooler adaptor ??

I am looking into installing a Jag oil cooler on my Crossbones. After looking at the kit I noticed they offer a part that installs onto the oil filter adaptor to keep it from spinning when removing the oil filter.
Anyone use this part? and is it advisable to get one with the kit. I am asking because I asked my dealer about this and the only answer I could get was that I dont need a oil cooler at all.

Default Oil Cooler

I put it on mine when I did the install. I was told that without it, when you change the oil filter the adaptor could spin causing it to leak. I have changed my oil filter 3 times now and the adaptor hasn't become loose, so I would have to say that the part works...
