Default Which Mobil product

I want to use Mobil1 for my 1000 mile service for the engine, trans and primary.
I run Mobil1 in my trucks so I am comfortable with the product.

My question is which product for each:

Engine
Primary
Transmission

Thanks

Engine: Mobil1Vtwin 20w50

Primary: Mobil1Vtwin 10w40 or 20w50

Trans: Mobil1 75w90 or 85w140 gear oil

All should be available at autozone.

Don't use the M-1 car oil in your bike.

It will work, but next time try the gear oil in the trans and the 10w40 in the primary. You will get a better clutch action and smoother trans IMO. Just about the same price as well. Plus you can run the gear oil 15,000-20,000 miles and not be concerned about shear stability.

That would be nice if the clutch was being lubed by the oil in the tranny but the clutch is in the primary case and not in the transmission case so.....

That is why I suggested 10w40 in the primary and 75w90 in the trans. I run a mix of redline MTL & MT90 in my primary which gives a viscosity of about a 40w oil. The 75w90 will make for smoother shifting in the trans and is more shear stable than a motor oil.
