Here's a link to a report on synthetic oil, provided by members Oldcorps and wlbowers. It contains some excellent information on the basics of synthetic lubricants. Be aware that due to the date of the report much of the information and specs on individual oils is outdated. Do not use the info to compare between today's versions of the represented brands of oils, as the companies have reformulated their oils, sometimes more than once.
