I use the VR-1 20W50 oil in my bike. Love it. It's the same price.

i guess the best thing to do is research.a bike motor get a whole hotter than a car or truck. but that is your choice.

It is Ok but I would not run it longer than 2500-3000 miles. If your bike runs hotter than 250F you should use a synthetic oil.

I use the vr1 racing oil too. It has everything the motorcycle oil has with higher zinc, phosphorus, calcium, ash and a higher flash point. It cost about the same as the motorcycle oil. You can go to valvoline web site and compare the specs between the oils. Valvoline does not recomment the racing oil for wet clutches.

Nothing but HD dino in my 2000 for the past 72k miles. I used to pay $1.99 a quart. It is now $6.49 a quart at a dealer near me. No more. The next oil change, I'll be using the Valvoline motorcycle oil. I have no interest in synthetic.

Feel like you're getting ripped off do you? Yeah, at those prices I'd look for something other than HD oil.

You have a 2000 bike which runs a lot cooler than the new ones (2007 >) The TC96 engines run so hot compared to the TC88's and Evos that you should run a syn oil. But if I had a 2000 I would run dino too.

Eh, I ride a HD at work. We get 'em hotter in a day's work than most people will during bike week traffic. We run nothing but dino in them and have never had a problem.
