Default pure power oil filter

Has anyone install one of these filters and dynoed their bike to confirm the companies claims? I know this has been asked before, just curious. Big claims from just installing an oil filter. I would really like to hear real life experiances, not what a company claims.

I doubt you will find anyone who is going to fork over $200-300 to dyno a bike to test an oil filter for HP gain. HP gain from an oil filter is crap IMO. I got some syn racing oil from a small company in Ca. who claims 3 hp gain on a dyno. But who is going to refute that. Nice hype idea for marketing though........

From their website :

Retail Price: $199.95

Item Number: 8110-BF

Size: 3.730" L x 3.000" W

So you have $200 for the filter and $200 for a dyno test= $400 for an oil filter mod?

Or $400/$13= 30 HD chrome filters X 5000 miles each= 150,000 miles or for you guys who change oil once a year you are good until 2038.

Of course it will increase power. Do you think anyone that spent 200+ bucks on a filter will claim otherwise?

I'll sell you an oil filter for $60 (very affordable) that will increase your horsepower by 1HP. No dyno required. Look at all the money you'll be saving!

It's a SCAM, folks! Oil filter increasing your Horse Power......yeah right.

Jesse,

IN the Oct.08 issue of Hot Bike Bagger mag. on page 16 there is a half page write up about the Pure Power! oil filter. In the write up the mag. says "we have independently verified power increases using this filter along with Pure Power!'s oil". In the write up it says dyno tests show a gain of upwards of 10HP, but they don't say if that was what they found or if that was the company's claim.

10HP? That's more than a 10% increase......wow!

I'm trying to think of a way to put a few of these oil filters in series so that I can increase my power by 40 or 50%.
