In the aviation world alot of owners use Mobile 1 and lot's of mechanics say to stay away from Amsoil. So there you have it, it's all opinion.

Kinda high in silicone.

OK ..just read their commentary but I'd look to keep your air filter clean

Hi , I had never heard of amsoil until coming to this forum, but with their preferred customer program the 20-50 fluctuates between 10 and 11$ a quart. I get a case and 4 filters delivered to my door , usually the next day, for about 190$. I'm then good for 4 changes including one three hole change for less than 200$ and get to do the work at my home.
HD charges about 200$ for one oil change and these little tekks always find some reason to charge an extra half hour because they say they had trouble with something or other like your air filter needed checking or they couldn't get one of the plugs out- always something inane and then your getting syn III at best unless the kid says oh! they didn't tell me you wanted synth, so I used dino, but the cost is the same! I only had them do 2 inspections to find out - this is going to cost way too much.
That said, Amsoil is great, is it the greatest? there's no indisputable proof. is my bike quieter - marginally. I am just now trying severe gear 75-90 in the tranny it quieted down just a notch when changing gears, nothing to rave about. Does amsoil protect my engine? yes absolutely, but they certainly can't make that exclusive claim. Am I going to stick with amsoil? Why not at the preferred price, how can I go wrong!

I actually paid $9.50 a quart less than $10 lol. I can prove that the oil temp drop 20-25F on a hot summer day no kiddn'
Oil off topic: Non synthetic, earth made, rotten dinosaur, dinosaur poo & plant life.

I agree, but use the 75/90 severe gear lube in the tranny. Have also used the 20/50 in the tranny with good luck also.

Hell, if I win, I might be able to afford 3.5 hours worth of babysitter time . I have a shed to clean, garage to clean, shelves to hang, **** that needs pressure washing, diaper genie that needs to be emptied, need to put some rounds through the guns, need to clean the guns, fix the toilet that randomly flushes itself, and rub one out.....I think $35 bux worth of babysitter will give me a starting point anyway

Oh ****, forgot there is a harley in the garage that needs to be worked, lol.

Everyone should do what gives them the warm fuzzies when they lay their head down at night.
