You had the oil in there for a year and a half and only put less than a thousand miles on it and had the oil tested?

Engine 3qts 20w50
Primary 1qt 20w50
Gearbox 1qt severe gear oil 75w110
Some ppl use Amsoil 20w50 in gearbox, not trying to be thick but I like gear oil a bit thicker LMFAO .

Hoodoo Voodoo stuff. Over priced oil that is no different or better than 80% of the other oils out there. But oh do they want you to believe it so that you'll be suckered into paying $10+ a quart.

I prefer amsoil server (sp) in the trans,
20-50 engine
20-50 primary
I would consider checking your manual if your just adding a quart to your primary.

Yes...well..no
I was going by bad memory, so I just went and looked at my oil receipts to refresh my memory on when I did the oil change. I actually only had the oil in for 15 months I was a little concerned that the time interval was pushing the limits, which is why I took a sample and sent it in for a used oil analysis.

We had recently moved, and work and kid schedule was nuts. Wife went to work before kids woke up, and got home from work after kids were home. That meant that I had to get them to school/daycare, and pick them up from school/daycare every day when I got off work. She also worked every other weekend. That meant very, very few opportunities to ride. About every other weekend I would do a 30-40 mile ride to keep everything flowing. Work and kid schedules have finally normaled up, so I'm planning on doing a little more riding these days...back and forth to work at a minimum. The road trips up the the mountains and what not, won't be happening for another 5+ years or so

I'm the kinda guy that leaves the fact checking to the scientists, which is why I will base my oil change intervals on lab results. I'm not gonna claim to know crap about oil, cuz I don't. But I believe what these people tell me, since they have more degrees and letters after their name than I do:

Like I said, I don't want to get into a war or huge debate and all I can tell you is what it did for MY bike. It quieted everything down, and I mean WAY down, and smoothed things out. What it does in another bike might be a different story and at $10.50 per quart I'm sticking with it. What's a few extra buck anyway? Hell, buy 30ct case of Natty Light instead of 24ct Budlight and you've still got a great buzz and paid for the difference in oil change.

For my '07 96ci, all 20-50W with 2.5qts in the motor (wet) and a quart each in the other 2 holes.
