I use it but I would also use Mobile One gear lube, I don't think there is a difference you can actually notice except of you changed gear oil weight, I use 75w90.

I have it in my bike now. Seems to work just fine. I wouldn't change just for the sake of changing it. It should go at least 20,000 miles. I don't know why when people change their oil they change all 3 holes every time. It's not necessary.

oh I don't change the trans oil at every oil change...I do change the primary oil when I change the engine oil though...I just wanted to know if royal purple was worth the extra $10...Autozone, had mobil 1 synthetic gear lube (75w-90) for about $10 cheaper...I just went with royal purple, because it was royal purple...no real reason for paying the extra $10...so now I feel a little stupid paying extra for something without it really being worth the extra bills...basically I'm looking for affirmation that I didn't throw money away...(if that makes any sense)

just switched to amsoil 20w50.

bike is so much quieter. just wind and exhaust noise now.

had it out today in serious heavy heat (index was around 100 today in NY) and the bike was running cooler than it was last week before i switched.

amsoil ATF in my primary, amsoil severe gear 75w140 in the tranny.

short term diagnosis...amsoil is the good stuff

Get a Jagg 10 or a 6 row cooler if space is tight.

Definitely synthetic. I also like Amsoil. Bike runs great. Here's a link to a white paper on motorcycle oil on Amsoil's web site:
