Hi, I just picked up a 98 sportster.&nbsp\\; No manual, but the dealership serviced it before I rode it home.&nbsp\\; When I turn on the ignition switch, the Neutral and oil lights light up.&nbsp\\; When I start the engine the oil light goes away.&nbsp\\; Is this normal?&nbsp\\; I checked the oil level and it looks good.&nbsp\\; Thanks

 

This is completly normal. This is made to see you that the light works.

Until you start the motor there is no oil pressure, thus the oil pressure indicator should be lit.
