RE: Running Synthetic-how often change tran/clutch
I would still change at the recommended intervals. I know it is supposed to last longer but its such a small quantity why not change it? Also, you might avoid warranty issues.

No matter if you run synthetic or dino....... oil and filter changes are STILL the absolute cheapest insurance for your baby that you can provide.
And, whatever you do, don't neglect the air filter in your change. An intake system that is restricted by dirt/debris, or a hole/tear in your filter can allow contaminates to enterthe cylinders and wipe out an engine in an amazingly short period of time.

Exactly.
Some here say change more frequently, and you won't hurt it by doing so but it is not necessary or helpful. The exceptionsare if you ride in extremely dusty conditions or do a lot of idling, or other than "normal" riding.
I have been riding Harleys for over thirty years and probably several hundred thousand miles and I have always pretty much followed the moco recommendations and used Harley oil without ever having an engine or transmission problem.
