What Brand Oil Filter Do You Use

RE: What Brand Oil Filter Do You Use
I have been using harley filter.
According to this site, there are 3 very good filters for twin cam 88.
They are >>
Purolator PL10241 / PL20064
Mobil1 M1-102
Bosch 3330
Question, will using any other oil filter other than Harley's void the warranty?

Not much will void your warrantee unless it causes damage to some part of the bike and then only what you caused damage to will not be warranteed if it was a job done by you incorrectly that caused the damage. This is a scare tactic by the dealers to make them do the work for you and you pay the bill.

If you don't use harley's chrome filter, Is there a slip on chrome cover available for other brands ?

I would stay away from a slip on cover as it impedes the cooling effect to a degree.

I have been using the Rev Tech magnetic filters on my 99 Sportster 1200. The magnetic part sounds good, collecting all the metal particles.

Think of one thing when responding to the magnetic theory, how much of the engine is composed of a ferrous metal? (magnetic) You have alloys, brass and other metals that will swim right by the magnet. In theory , it sounds great but when you give it some thought, it only attracts a very small persentage of the problems that cause damage that are found in the oil.
