What Brand Oil Filter Do You Use
#531
[QUOTE=05flhtbob;21011339]Been kicking around the idea of getting one of these..
[QUOTE]
I've been running one that looks like it, only all polished aluminum for several years and I like it. TC88, 2nd stage with torque cams, aggressive rider and the oil stays clean, no metal in sunlight BUT: I always pull it at 3k or when it turns medium caramel; same with all my engines as a rule.
Don't expect to see much crud in it if you don't put too many miles on the oil. I wouldn't have bought this, had I not seen some high mileage bikes with them.

I too have been looking at that the FLO cleanable filter, mostly for the consistent micron rating of the filter media. I have a freaking pile of spin-ons to burn through, first...maybe.

Nah man...just use the knowledge other pass on. That's all.
But, YouTube Master Mechanic University did save me few grand on my car repairs. Funny story, my wife's 4 months old BMW was making a weird noise. Master mechanics at the dealer told us to "live with it". They couldn't figure out what the issue was, until I found the video on YouTube and showed it to them. lol
So yeah.. Good ol' YT for the win!

Anybody have experience or test data for either of these oil filters? Both claim at least some type of synthetic filtering media. These for 2021 M8 107
I tried the Premium Guard PG63798, It seems really well built, found some detail it is made in Vietnam with USA-made synthetic filter media. They only come in original short length, only sales outlet I've seen is Amazon.

Haven't tried this one, it is available from a number of sales outlets. I think I read it is made in The Netherlands. I also read K&N is only made in China now.
