I've been using the Amsoil filters, but they are only rated to 15 micon, or that's what they publish -- 15 micron filtering.

So I am wondering if I should switch back to Harley (Ugh!) or if there is something else I shuold be using.

My compliments to ya on this research.. I studied all the images carefully..

I would never use Fram before I saw Ur pics. Now I know I am positive to NEVER use one..

What else I see is, HD looks pretty good, but the K&N has many more pleats & looks like a better filtering material.. (not a big surprise).. but good to know for sure...

Thanks for posting all your work on this.. I appreciate it, as I think others do as well..

I love the K&N filters. Very easy to take on and off. You also know since it is a K&N you are getting a good product.

I lifted this quote from the Purolater web site. Thought you might want to know.

What About PureONE
If you're thinking you want to install a PureONE oil filter on your bike, please think again. PureONE oil filters are designed for vehicles, not bikes. Because of PureONE's high efficiency, the motorcycle oil pump may not be able to handle the pressure. The Purolator motorcycle filter line is designed to meet the specific needs of a bike; therefore we highly recommend the use of a Purolator ML filter over a PureONE oil filter.
