Oil light coming on.

'04 FLTR. 41K Miles. 5w50w synthetic since new. Recently oil light been coming on, stay on a while, flicker, then go out, return on again. During this time, no drop in pressure, no coughs, sputters, farts, nothing, just cruise along. Oil in proper range on stick. Starts, and runs great. Had previous problem with light coming on, traced to wiring chaffing on metal. Fixed and protected then. Oil pressure switch?

Put an oil pressure guage on it and see what your pressure really is first.

I could'nt sleep thinking of the possibilities. Went out opened up the nacelle where I had the bad wire in the past. Thing jumped out like it had a spring attached. The past bike week in Daytona, I had xm installed onto the handlebars. They routed at least 10 feet of wire through that nacelle in a bundle along with a small transformer. So, after digging through all that ****, sure enough, GN/Y wire had a small nick. Patched it up, re routed all that other crap, and all is well. Thank You for your response.
